Welcome to Bristol Massage and Reflexology

I’m Julie and I provide exceptional, bespoke massage and reflexology from my treatment room on the Triangle in Clifton, Bristol. I’ve worked with and helped many clients – so why should you choose me? What makes my treatments stand out? As an experienced and intuitive massage therapist and reflexologist, I provide effective therapies - self-care and healthcare - that aim to deliver the perfect balance between release of muscle tension and relaxation, while always being tailored to you.

I don’t offer an upfront ‘menu’ of treatments for specific issues, or separate ‘luxury’ experiences. The premise is simple: I work with you to determine what you need at each session and whether you’ve been seeing me for years or are booking for the first time, you’ll get the highest standard of service and treatments that I hope you’ll enjoy and benefit from. I love what I do, I bring my experience, skills and knowledge to each appointment and more importantly, time after time, my clients get results.

Working Together

I work with you depending on what you need, for example:

  • Relaxation, resetting, taking much-needed ‘me’ time; allowing your body and mind to rest and repair.
  • Correcting posture, relieving pain, addressing tense, tight areas or overworked muscles. Tension can be caused by injury, postural imbalance, build-up of stress or body use - do you spend too much time at your desk or on your phone? Hunching your shoulders or constantly looking down creates negative postural habits that can lead to headaches, back and shoulder ache, jaw tension, eye strain and more. Massage is great for releasing tension in the neck, shoulders and back.
  • Scalp, jaw and facial massage – for relaxation, tension release or relieving TMJ disorder.
  • Alleviating headaches, relieving sinus pressure, enriching sleep, aiding digestion.
  • Increasing mobility and reducing pain or discomfort associated with Arthritis, poor circulation, Fibromyalgia, EDS, hypermobility, ME, Chronic Fatigue, Scoliosis.
  • Soothing or reviving tight, tired or achy muscles after sport or exercise (or ahead of an event).
  • Remedial or rehabilitation (e.g. post-injury or operation).
  • Improving mood and mental health; helping to calm and relax if you feel anxious or depressed.
  • Switching off the chatter in your brain that stops you from sleeping or letting go.
  • Relief from the symptoms of menopause.
  • You may be active or sporty (my clients include runners, cyclists, gym-goers, climbers, golfers, dancers). You may be busy, frazzled, tired, anxious, depressed, in pain, in need of calm, in need of energising. It could be a combination of these.

I also work with clients with depression, anxiety or other mental health issues. If you’re nervous or unsure about coming for a treatment, I can help you feel calm and reassured in a safe environment. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns or would just like a chat.

Could I Help YOU?

While our bodies change as we get older, we don’t have to accept the ‘inevitable’ onset of issues and problems. Complementary therapy is healthcare; it can work alongside conventional medicine, or as an alternative for those who seek self-care without always resorting to pills and painkillers. It’s also been proven to massively boost the immune system! Investing in your whole health is one of the most important things you can do.

Massage and reflexology work not just to help us heal, but to prevent things from going wrong or worsening. We’re all different, as are our lives, bodies, minds and health. Things can be straightforward or complex, your issues are particular to you at any one time, and how I work with you will reflect and address that.

If you’re new to complementary therapies: be open to what they can do and how I work, be happy to discuss and agree your treatment plan, and be prepared to be pleasantly surprised (or have your expectations confounded!).

Take a look at the treatments pages for more information, including how I work and what to expect. Whether you’re a new or a regular client, finding a massage therapist or reflexologist who's right for you is key; you'll be looked after, we’ll agree each treatment beforehand and I’ll always make sure you’re comfortable.

Note, there are some contraindications to massage and reflexology but do get in touch if you have any questions or would like a chat.

Please check out my reviews on Google, some of which can be found here.

If you've had a treatment and would like to leave a review, I'd really appreciate it.
